Presenting the vendors of “10 MARINER”……………..
We are once again THRILLED in 2025 to be using the HISTORICAL “10 MARINER “ as one of the venues of CHRISTMAS IN THE VILLAGES - MURRAY HARBOUR FARMERS MARKET. This venue will be open on Friday, December 5th at 7PM until 9PM and Saturday, December 6th at 9AM until 2PM.
PRESENTING THE VENDORS OF 10 MARINER…………
Danielle Baker and Meagan MacLeod - Creative, engaging and forward thinking, these two enterprising women are a force to be reckoned. Last we heard, the word “samples” was involved in their latest venture so we encourage you to drop by their table and support their latest venture! Oh did we mention, they are also raising young families and are involved in their communities.
Michele Chapman - “When we engage in fiber arts, we are creating something, but also participating in historic traditions tens of thousands of years old.” - the woven road. Growing up as the child of a knitter, I was always mesmerized by my mother’s ability to watch TV, ask us our homework or do other chores while “click, click, clicking” away. It was not knitting, it was art in motion. Michele is one of those knitters! Her traditional patterns and technique are sought out by everyone and enjoyed well into the future for their durability and quality.
Roberta Smith - An accomplished photographer and artisan, Roberta likes to describe herself as “a gatherer”…… “I love to roam the shores of the Island… mostly central and eastern, gathering things I find on the shore and taking pictures everywhere I go”. None of the pieces Roberta find, whether stashed in her pocket, her backpack or in her camera are exempt from her artist eye. Her pieces are of the heart and you will know that immediately. A button fanatic, Roberta’s button Christmas trees are a “must have” in your Christmas collection. Be sure to drop by Roberta’s table….you’ll be glad you did!
MacKenzie & Melodie June - These two young entrepreneurs are sharing a table - one is selling tickets, cranberries (Lighthouse Cranberries & Cherries - owners our friends Brenda & Jana) and some Christmas decorations- the other is selling her hand made keychains and pens BUT both of these young entrepreneurs have what it takes to be successful. They are open-minded, can pivot quickly when needed and are customer oriented. Bravo to these two young ladies - be sure to drop by their table and check out things out!
Cape Bear Lighthouse - This vibrant group is dedicated to preserving, celebrating, promoting and sharing the Cape Bear Lighthouse with Prince Edward Islanders and visitors the world over. You will meet volunteers with the Lighthouse who will be selling books, gift items and “rumour has it” Christmas treats. They will also be selling raffle tickets ($2 each and 3 for $5) on a Christmas basket and a set of 2 quilted pillows. Make sure to inquire about their plans for 2026 and add a visit to this historic property next year.
Pamela Fitzpatrick - Rebel Gypsy - In today’s world, the satisfaction of wearing and owning handmade jewellery offers unique designs that mass-produced accessories can’t match. Each piece tells its own story. There is a uniqueness that makes this jewellery stand out. When you wear it, you make a statement about who you are today and where you are going. Rebel Gypsy’s has something for everyone!
Amanda Vanessa - Whether you call it fairy floss (they do in Finland and Australia), dad’s beard (they do in France) or grandma’s hair (that’s what the Greek call it), for this weekend, we are going to call it Amanda’s Melt in Your Mouth Cotton Candy! Be sure to drop by Amanda’s booth for some childhood nostalgia and sugar-induced euphoria.
Xander Aubertin - An enchanting tradition which often goes overlooked is the art of adorning your gifts with unique gift tags. These seemingly small additions can transform your gift-giving experience into a magical journey. Xander makes seashell and sea-glass gift tags. Why seashells and sea-glass? Well - seashells are known as a symbol of life, hope, strength, and protection and seaglass is a symbol of new beginnings. . Xander will be joined by Edna MacNeill whose traditional sea glass creations are always a crowd pleaser. A “for sure” stop at 10 Mariner!
