Yesterday was pickup day for 4 of our emu chicks, one of our amazing customers took this video of me showing them how to safely hold emu chicks!
Thanks Barnyard Party Animals for taking this video! Did you know Barnyard Party Animals hosts birthday parties, goat yoga, and they can even bring the fun to you!

*Pending* Due to no fault of their own, the home we had lined up for Lotus and Nova has unfortunately fallen through, so we are looking for a new home for 2 of our extremely friendly emus.
They are both very docile, they know the word "no" very well, they do well with sheep, goats, cows, chickens, baby chicks, geese and dogs but will need proper introductions.
These two are bonded but are used to being kept separate at the fenceline during breeding season. They don't like it when they can't see eachother. They are siblings so they should not be used for breeding unless they can be separated by fenceline with unrelated emus to breed with. Nova laid 40+ eggs this year, there is a market for emu eggs as culinary and decorative purposes.
Lotus and Nova are used to 6ft fencing, they do not challenge fencing and have never gotten out of their fencing.
Send us a message for more details.

Blueberry season is just around the corner!
Our blueberry field will likely be open at the beginning of July but will be posting updates on our page as we get closer to opening day. We will have mini highland cows, emu chicks, lambs, baby goats, and other livestock visible from our blueberry field this year!
This season will be our last at this farm before we move our farm to Nova Scotia, so keep your eyes peeled for when berry picking starts, it's looking like we will have another fantastic crop!

In the past month 70% of our animals have gone to new homes to prepare for our move across Canada in September to our new farm in Nova Scotia. It's a lot quieter around here, it is so strange seeing empty animal pens, an empty pond, chicken breeding pens being moved out of the field and the many missing animal sounds that used to ring over our property.

It hasn't been easy saying goodbye to our animals that we aren't taking with us, there is a specific type of heartache that comes with moving a farm across Canada, it can be very bittersweet, there are many moments where we both look at eachother and think, "What the hell are we doing?"
It was been a physically and mentally exhausting process so far, but we have a gleam in our eyes and a spring in our step knowing that we are so close to having everything we have wanted, and this time, it's all ours.

We have gotten so many cute photo and video updates about our animals doing so great in their new homes, and these photos have been keeping us going through this, it has been so heartwarming getting all these updates and they always seem to arrive when Nick and I really need it.
Thank you so much to everyone sending updates, it really brightens our days and reminds us that life goes on 💙

This photo update is of our "baby geese" enjoying their new pond at their new home.
They aren't babies anymore, but they still only seem to respond to "baby geese" 😆
