On September 6, we held our monthly lucky draw at Superette Foods, with two $50 grocery prizes. Our winners were Suzzane and a lovely couple, Thomas and Charlotte.
Yesterday, Thomas came to the store and kindly told us they did not wish to claim their prize. Instead, they asked that we give it to someone in our community who truly needs it.
Acts of kindness like this remind us how fortunate we are to be surrounded by such caring people. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, Thomas and Charlotte, for your generosity. We will make sure your prize reaches someone deserving. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

We held our monthly lucky draw yesterday, September 6th, and we are so happy to announce our winners! ❤️

Yesterday, a 13-year-old boy came into Superette Foods and told our cashier Sophie that he had already had two energy drinks and that his heart rate was high. He asked to buy two more, but Sophie responsibly refused, putting his health and safety before making a sale. Even when he returned later and waited in line for about half an hour staying away from Sophie’s sight but Sophie stood firm and sold one Icecream instead.

We’re very proud of Sophie, and we also want to recognize Alanna, who is always proactive about product awareness and helping our customers make informed choices. We feel very fortunate to have both of them representing Superette Foods and making us proud every day. ❤️

Our purpose in sharing this is not only to praise Sophie or Alanna but also to remind our community that consuming any energy drink in excess is not good for your health. We encourage responsible choices, especially among young people, and always prioritize the health and safety of our community.

Angela and George have put so much love, care, and creativity into these gorgeous succulents. Each one is thoughtfully arranged by hand, making every little plant truly special. ❤️🌿

🇨🇦 Proud to Welcome an Amazing Canadian Adventurer to Nanaimo! 🚴‍♂️

It was a real pleasure meeting Dominick Menard a proud Quebecer who is completing an incredible bike journey from Alaska to Victoria today. 🚴‍♂️🇨🇦

Today is the final day of his cycling adventure before he heads back to Quebec by car. What an amazing accomplishment and an inspiration to all of us!

We were honoured to welcome him to Superette, and as a biking-loving community, we in Nanaimo are especially happy to have him here. 🙌

Keep it up, Dominick! 👏 We are proud of you and wish you a safe journey back home.
