It might be Road Kings weekend and Baker Street will be bumpin’, but so will Cottonwood Falls Park! 🚗

We have a fantastic vendor lineup joining us tomorrow, and if you’re looking for something a little more relaxed and slower paced, come hang out with us at the Saturday Farmers Market!

Redfish Stringband will be serenading the park from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., we’ll have some delicious food options to keep you fueled, and of course, plenty of beautiful local produce to stock your kitchen for the week.

And a little reminder as we head into fall… now is such an important time to SUPPORT LOCAL. ❤️

Our farmers, artisans, makers and food vendors have been showing up week after week all season long, and there are still plenty of market days left to come out and support them. Pick up your produce for the week, grab some lunch, treat yourself to something handmade or even get a head start on that Christmas shopping.

If you’re heading downtown for Road Kings tomorrow, make Cottonwood Falls Park part of your day too. Come wander the market, listen to some live music, enjoy some great food and show a little love to the amazing local businesses that make our markets what they are.

And don’t forget, there will be NO Saturday Market next weekend as we get ready for Harvest Festival! We’ll be taking over Baker Street on Sunday, September 20th for one of our biggest celebrations of the season. 🌻

More details are coming soon on each of our performers, but here’s a little sneak peek at what we have planned…

Big band sounds filling Baker Street, line dancing right in the streets, Highland dancing, and live performances from some incredible local talent!

And that’s just the entertainment lineup. There is SO much more to come!

Many of you have been asking, so it’s time for a season update! 🍂

We’re still running strong and we are definitely not finished yet!

Our Wednesday Markets will continue on Baker Street until September 30th, with National Day for Truth and Reconciliation marking our final Wednesday Market of the season.

And Saturdays? We’ve still got lots of market days ahead! Our Saturday Markets at Cottonwood Falls Park will continue all the way until October 31st. That’s right...we’re ending the season with a Halloween Bash! 🎃

And a little reminder for our Nutrition Coupon Program participants: if you still have coupons tucked away, now is the perfect time to use them! Come stock up on all your farm favourites and enjoy everything the fall harvest has to offer. Don’t let those coupons collect dust in the back of a drawer!

Kids might be headed back to school this week, but that definitely doesn’t mean Farmers Market season is over! 🍎

Our Wednesday Markets are still running strong right through the end of September, and there is SO much goodness to enjoy this time of year. Come stock up on some of the best produce around and support the incredible local farms that keep our tables full all season long.

And don’t forget about our talented artisan lineup! There’s never been a better time to treat yourself to something locally made… and dare we say it, it’s definitely not too early to get a little Christmas shopping done. Your December self will thank you!

Our first September Saturday Market is here! 🍂 And just a reminder... we’re not slowing down yet. Our Saturday Markets run right through to Halloween! Woohoo!

We have an amazing vendor lineup waiting for you tomorrow, plus a new lunch option!

Topless Sandwich Etc. is joining us tomorrow and will be sticking around until the end of the season at BOTH our Wednesday and Saturday Markets! You’ll find them set up next to Lavina Espresso tomorrow, which sounds like the perfect combination to us... grab some lunch, grab a delicious coffee, and be properly fuelled to shop your way through the market. 🥪

And MARKET BAGS HAVE ARRIVED!

We’ll have them available at the Market Tent next to the washrooms. We received a very limited supply, so they’ll be limited to one bag per person while supplies last.

And what’s a Saturday Market without some live music? Matt Brown will be bringing the sound to Cottonwood Falls Park from 12:00 to 2:00 PM! 🎶

Join us SUNDAY, September 20th as we take over the 200–400 blocks of Baker Street for a day dedicated to everything we love about fall. 🌾

A little rain in the forecast? We can handle that! 🌧️

We have a fantastic Wednesday Market lined up for you tomorrow, and Farmers Row has GROWN! You’ll now find even more of our farm vendors extending down Baker Street in front of Pharmasave, so be sure to wander the whole market. And whatever you do, don’t miss out on the Creston corn! 🌽

We’re also welcoming a brand new food vendor tomorrow: Topless Sandwiches Etc.! They’ll be set up in Hall Street Plaza alongside Simply Siam (have you tried their spring rolls?!) and Real Fruit Ice Cream.

We’ll have seating AND shelter set up in the plaza, so grab something tasty, pull up a seat, stay dry and enjoy a rainy market day downtown.

AND… if you’ve been waiting for one of our Nelson Farmers Market bags, they have officially arrived! We’ll have them available in Hall Street Plaza tomorrow, so come find us and snag yours!

Our Saturday, September 19th Farmers Market at Cottonwood Falls Park is CANCELLED… but for a great reason!

HARVEST FEST is taking over Baker Street on SUNDAY, September 20th!

Join us from 10am to 3pm on the 200–400 blocks of Baker Street for a big celebration of the fall harvest and everything we love about market season.

Stock up from all your favourite local farm vendors while the harvest is at its peak, shop our incredible artisan vendors, grab something delicious from our food and beverage vendors, and stick around for live performances, some line dancing fun and plenty more throughout the day!

Bring your market bags, bring your friends and family, and come make a day of it downtown.

August may be wrapping up, but Saturday Markets are FAR from over! 🍅

We’re rolling right through until October 31st, and tomorrow we’re sending August off with an awesome vendor lineup at Cottonwood Falls Park!

The produce is in its PEAK and our farmers’ tables are basically edible rainbows right now. This is late summer in the Kootenays at its absolute best, so bring those market bags and come hungry!

We also have some extra special community goodness joining us tomorrow. A local family will be selling lemonade to raise funds for BC Children’s Hospital🍋, and our friends from the Nelson Izu-shi Friendship Society will be on site to share more about their work at Cottonwood Falls Park and Nelson’s sister city of Izu-shi, Japan.

And from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., Sofia Barquin will be filling the park with her beautiful voice! 🎶

Fresh produce. Great food. Local makers. Live music. A great cause. THAT is how we send off August!

This Saturday, we're excited to welcome Sofia Barquin to the Nelson Farmers Market stage at Cottonwood Falls!

Originally from Mexico and now calling Nelson home, Sofia is an emerging musician known for her soulful sound, intimate performances, and growing presence in the Kootenay music scene. Connected with Selkirk College's Contemporary Music & Technology program, she brings heartfelt energy and a fresh voice to every stage she steps onto.

If you've had the chance to hear Sofia perform before, you already know this is a performance you won't want to miss. If you haven't, now is the perfect opportunity!
