was established in 1946 by Donald B. Gillis in the seaside town of North Sydney. With a pick-up truck, Donald began selling fish to local households and before long was peddling fresh and salted fish to small grocery store and restaurants throughout Cape Breton. With a family of 12, there was always someone to help out with the business. In 1988, son Jim moved back to Cape Breton to work with his
father. Since then Jim has taken the reins of the business and has been continuously expanding our area of service which includes Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia. With the expansion it became necessary to move to a new modern facility in the North Sydney Industrial Park. With a supply-chain throughout Eastern Canada and the United States we are able to bring quality seafood products to our valued customers. These products include fresh, frozen, salted and smoked seafood, as well as live lobster, mussels, oysters, etc. Our sales associates would be happy to meet with you to discuss your seafood needs.
