When we brought this in last year with a lot of other new cheeses, we put together a massive charcuterie board and tried every single one with the team. We just think you can't sell good food if you haven't actually tasted it yourself.

After a very gezellige evening of eating our way through the inventory, this one was the clear office favorite. It’s sweet, full of flavor, and has this subtle, floral clover hint that cuts right through the richness of the cheese. This cheese is delicious!

These 2 weeks: Basiron Delft Bue Gouda Cheese 25% Off

This is a creamy, Gouda-style blue that’s aged for just a few weeks, so it stays super mild. They sometimes call it Delft Blue. It doesn't have that sharp, intense bite like a Roquefort, which honestly makes it way too easy to keep snacking on.

Toss it into a pear and walnut salad, crumble it on top of a burger, or just stand in the kitchen eating it straight off a piece of crusty bread.

We all know the classic Tosti; two slices of white bread, butter, ham and plain melted cheese. It's delicious with Mayo or Curry dip sauce on the side. But over the years, I have tried many other combinations and this one stand out:

It starts with thick, slices of sourdough. While my wife toasted off a batch of walnuts with maple syrup, I cooked radicchio quickly in the pan. Then came the best part: thick slices of Basiron Truffle.

Once grilled to golden, that creamy, earthy truffle cheese melts right into the crisp bitterness of the radicchio and the crunch of the toasted walnuts.

Chocolate letters have been shipped!

You can really tell summer is winding down, it's getting dark earlier, the morning air has that crisp chill, and pumpkin season is right around the corner. But the absolute best news of the week? Our chocolate letters have officially been shipped!

We’ll keep you updated on their travel status and exact arrival date as soon as they get closer. Plus, we have lots of new items coming in the next few months!

New Cheese: Gouda Za’atar

Now, this one is a real surprise. Blending Middle Eastern spices right into the cheese makes for a refreshing, unique combination with a strong oregano finish. We are still playing around with what to pair it with, but slicing off a piece to eat all on its own is already really, really good!

FINALLY BACK: BOSKA CHEESE SLICERS!

Finally we managed to get Boska back in stock: our absolute favorite Dutch cheese slicers. Even better? They are actually lower in price this time around. We are already making plans to bring in even more inventory as we head toward the winter months.

Ottawa’s about to get a whole lot busier this September! The IWBF Wheelchair Basketball World Championships are coming to Ottawa, and both the Dutch Men’s and Women’s National Teams are making the trip over.

Time to dig out the orange gear once again, get together, and show them some proper support!

New cheese: Gouda Mustard Cheese

A proper, solid cheese flavor with the mustard sitting nicely in the background so it never overpowers. The coarse mustard seeds give it a great texture, and honestly? This makes for an absolute perfect tosti!

CHEESE OF THE WEEK:

If you haven’t tried the Basiron Tricolour yet, you are seriously missing out. It's easily one of my favorites in the winkel.

What makes it so good? It’s a clever mix of cow and goat milk, which already gives it a great base flavor, but they didn't stop there. They blended in sweet bell peppers for a subtle touch of sweetness, finished off with a nice little kick of hot pepper at the end.

It’s packed with flavor and totally unique. Definitely a must-try if you're dropping by!
