I know it is fall when I start going to the Elmvale market on Sunday morning. This morning wasn't what I was hoping for. I was looking for peaches to get ready for the freezer but the pickings were slim. Cucumbers for relish also not great. Maybe next week.

As you know by now, we have been celebrating my 75th birthday since August 13th. This is the last weekend for that. There are nibbles on the table along with the fundraising jar. At the moment, you have raised $1200. The fundraising will continue even though the birthday month is drawing to a close.

Well the kitchen elves were busy again yesterday and there is baking as a result. Fruit crisps; sundried tomato bacon cornbread; carrot cake and of course, cookies! In the freezer vegan scalloped potatoes have returned.

Happy Sunny Saturday! We are here and open until 5PM more or less. Sourdough bread from Tiny Cove Bakery has arrived! Saturday also means it is scone day....

Good Friday Morning everybody. We are here and open until 6PM today. Those kitchen elves were very busy yesterday. If you are a fan of the salmon leek pie, you will be happy to know it is now back in the cooler! The g/f oatmeal raisin cookies and the g/f chocolate ginger cookies have also been restocked. It was a good day all around.

Hi everyone. I hope you are enjoying this lovely Monday. Just want to say thank you for such a great weekend. As I've said, our job is to fill the cooler so you can empty it! And you did lol along with the counter, the freezer, the cooler and the cold cuts! Well done. We are grateful for your support kindness and appreciation of the work we do and the food we prepare.
