Harvest beauty 🌻

Harvesting this morning and sitting in peach tree eating a blemished peach
Crickets on and a variety of birds surround me
A lot of them call here home
at least for part of the year
Someone could think my life of gardening is all perfect and such
All peaches
But it’s actually filled with imperfections
Mould,earwigs,mosquitoes,raccoon bandits
Big and small flies
Wasps circle and bump me
I’m filled with adrenaline
Gratitude,concentration,humour
Pointy sticks in my b***s
Branch whacking me n the eye right after seeing two humming birds looping up and around bright flowers in my garden
Amazed at the beauty I get to be witness too
That I get to be sitting in this tree eating this half rotten peach that tastes so fu***ng amazing
Sweaty , bug bitten , meno paused
Knowing it’s what I’ve always wanted and worked so hard to get here
