Guess what?? The hit HGTV show Home Town Takeover is coming to Canada this year—and Port Alberni is in the running!

What does that mean? It means we could get a town makeover from their team of renovation experts and designers.

The show's producers have challenged us to come together one more time and show them why Port Alberni is the best choice!

Although we would love to see more housing in our town, we do NOT need more low barrier (substance abuse permitted) when we already have 4 housing units currently. Low barrier is NOT safe for the elderly, children, or anyone who has worked so hard to be clean and sober. They are also devastating to the surrounding areas. We currently have many dozens of clean/sober individuals waiting for housing to restart their lives - yet they cannot stay in these places.
Please sign the petition to ensure we have safe housing for everyone. ❤️
