By selling directly to the consumer, we can provide a better product without charging a premium. Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is our primary business. Members who register in advance are guaranteed an equal share of The Farm's produce each w

Our Story

The VanRuyven Farm operates a small market garden in Port Colborne. Our goal is to make fresh, local, organic produce available to everyone who wants it. By selling directly to the consumer, we can provide a better product without charging a premium. Feeding ourselves and our family with nutritious and pesticide free food was our vision when we moved here in 1998. We are happy to share with our neighbours. Please call in and say “hi” to Joe who is usually found in the barn, yard, chicken coop or in the silo where he houses homing pigeons. We sell fresh brown eggs, apples, and a variety of vegetables in season. We have a greenhouse in which we grow salad greens for an extended season.
