Do you know that the flowers we sell are grown in our passive solar greenhouse and our fields?

We do not use fossil fuel of any kind to heat the greenhouse in the winter. We have a highly insulated, engineered building that maximizes solar power and is weather sturdy.

This leads to a lot of advantages!

1. No increase in pricing due to gas prices
2. Low carbon footprint (no exhaust or fumes) and no long distance global travel
3. Super fresh flowers, as they have not been in the transportation system
4. Long vase life as the flowers have not been held on cold storage for extended amounts of time
5. Competitive pricing- we do not pay a “middleman” to bring in loads of flowers and do not have to markup the prices to cover that cost
6. We grow specialty flowers that are otherwise too fragile to ship, leading to greater beauty and variety for you
7. Grower-direct sales means we are in regular touch with our customers and know when something is not working AND you tell us what you love!

Meet us at Farmers Markets this summer! We can’t wait to see you!

As a local radio station, we are here for our community through every moment, and unfortunately, this is a heartbreaking one. While we feel it is our responsibility to report on what happens in our community, we also recognize that these are deeply loved individuals, and this tragedy is affecting many people across our region.

Today, we mourn alongside our community.

Many organizations have stepped forward to offer support and resources. We have compiled a list to help make finding assistance a little easier during this difficult time.

Please do not hesitate to reach out if you or someone you know needs help. You are not alone.

The Augusta Township Community Garden Project continues to move forward with positive progress.

The garden boxes shown in the photo have been completed through the skilled work and dedication of woodworking students at South Grenville District High School - UCDSB. Their contribution has been instrumental in advancing this initiative, including the construction of both standard raised and accessible garden beds designed to support inclusive community use.

Once available, these garden beds will provide residents with an opportunity to grow food, engage in outdoor activity, and participate in a shared community space.

This project is made possible through our partnership and funding with Community Futures Grenville, and we look forward to sharing more progress in the upcoming weeks.
