A bad video. But it could have been so much worse. We’ve had a nuisance bear around recently and as he left this morning my hubs had to scare it off with his car alarm, he messaged me to say “can’t see the ducks” so every farmers nightmare, I lay there wondering if they were dead or not. Schroedingers ducks, if I stay here they’re still there as far as I know, but if I go out there and find them not… anyway I’m so I suited up and went out there, past the 12 chickens in the brooder, unharmed. Dodging the bald faced hornets that plague me every time I leave the house, and over to where my ducks are all sleeping peacefully, happy to see me. Gotta say I was drowning this morning, and I’m not sure I could have held it together if my ducks were hurt. Be nice to a farmer today guys, we’re at breaking point. I’m taking a day off.

My weekend in Vancouver included a LOT of cheese shops. Graydon’s Cheese Cellar les amis du FROMAGE BOSA Foods and no, I didn’t make anyone cut all those little bits, I’m not an awful person 😘 but I did grab a large chunk of the bit bins wherever possible, it’s how I get to try cheeses I wouldn’t ordinarily buy. I have a fridge to take it all home in.

Road trip to Vancouver, such beautiful country we live in. Huge detour to contend with so we decided to stop off at Merritt, so pretty. Keeping an eye on Drivebc so we don’t in any way interfere or impede the firefighting efforts (THANK YOU to everyone from near and far who is here fighting fires right now!) my hubs heart is set on the Bug Jam this weekend, and I can check out les amis du FROMAGE Graydon’s Cheese Cellar Benton Brothers Fine Cheese plus Tomahawk, Memphis blues bbq and IKEA. Reminds me of our ‘09 trip out to 🇨🇦 for the first time. All that’s missing is karaoke on Robson street 😂😂😂

decided it was time to get some quackers back on the farm. They’re call ducks which I haven’t had before I know at least one male others I’m not sure but I want them for the noise not really the eggs (I don’t bake and can’t eat duck eggs) now some names? Any suggestions?

How has it been a month since conference already?! I’m not really stressing about exam results (still at least 4 weeks away if history serves as a guide) because I’m pretty sure I didn’t pass. But the experience was very valid and has helped me mentally no end! This year is sprinting by and my birthday is coming up on Sunday, so I need to work out what I’m doing for that. Next weekend is the VW show in Vancouver so hubs is getting excited for that. Then it’ll be September!
