Niagara Food Specialties / Pingue Prosciutto We are local artisan producers of Italian traditionally inspired salumi. We also process Certified Organic Ontario pork.

Using Ontario pork, we hand make prosciutto crudo, capocollo, lonza – lombo, guanciale and pancetta as well as fresh sausage and meats. Niagara Food Specialties sources 3rd party certified naturally raised and humanely treated Ontario pork that is raised without anti-biotics or growth promotants and fed only vegetarian feed. We ask our farmers to provide us with a mature “heavier” hog. For our who

le muscle meats, and for our fresh products, they remain chemical and preservative free. That means no phosphates, nitrates or nitrites, we use only sea-salt to preserve our meats. Our whole muscle meats are then air-dried and aged until they are ready to enjoy. Some of our other products include custom made sausage, ‘nduja’, pea meal Canadian back bacon, breakfast sausage and patties as well as salami patties.

MOTHER’S DAY

On Mother’s Day, our thoughts are with the women who nourish our lives in countless ways. 🌷

In a family like ours, the kitchen has always been the heart of the home, and the Mother has always been the heart of the kitchen. From our own Nonna to our mothers and wives, we’ve learned that “to feed” is “to love.” They taught us that patience, care, and tradition are the most important ingredients in any recipe.

However, we also recognize that Mother’s Day can carry different meanings for everyone.

Whether you are celebrating with your family, quietly remembering a mother who is no longer with you, or honouring a maternal figure who stepped in when you needed it most — we see you. For those for whom this day is quiet, or perhaps a little difficult, we wish you peace and comfort.

The secret to our flavour? Unrefined sea salt. 🌊🧂

Our salumi products are singular in the North American marketplace with absolutely no chemical additives or preservatives, “naturally occurring” or otherwise, no nitrates or nitrites in any form.
