To welcome the folks to Quesnel town!
Where Billy Barker’s legacy stays.
The golden spark for our summer days.
The rodeo arena is buzzing with cheers,
While Aroma Foods celebrates fifty-plus years!
Through decades of change, it’s the heart of the town,
Where friendly staff never let a friend down.
The cowboys and miners are greeted with smiles,
By familiar faces who guide through the aisles.
They pick up their groceries and fresh deli meats,
From neighbours who love serving festival treats.
The parade lines the streets in a colourful stream,
Uniting the valley, a midsummer dream.
They wave to the clerks on the festival ride,
And toast fifty years of community pride!
