Hello again!👋
I will be setting up at Gasoline Alley Farmers' Market this Saturday, November 22nd.

This week, I will be focusing on a variety of Christmas baking:

🔸️Peanut Brittle
🔸️Shortbread
🔸️Mincemeat Tarts
🔸️Dinner Buns
🔸️Gingerbread Cookies

We also have a nice selection of charcuterie boards, bow bread knives, bread boards, etc. These are sure to make a very nice gift to give this season!

ONE DAY ONLY!! Saturday, October 25th!

In just one week, I'll be "popping up" with all of your favourite baked goods! You'll also find handcrafted charcuterie boards, bread knives, and more - perfect for all you early Christmas shoppers.

Below is a list and quantities of each baked item which I'll be making. Things usually sell out very quickly, so get here early. 😃

Cinnamon buns - 16
Brioche braids - 2
Honey Whole Wheat bread - 4
Sourdough Rye bread - 6
Brioche dinner buns - 3 pks of 6
Three types of cookies, 3 doz. of each, in pks of 6
*Oatmeal Raisin
*Chocolate Chip
*Gingersnaps
Date squares - 16, sold individually or in pks of 4.

As time permits, I may also have shortbread, brownies, butter tarts, and/or banana bread.

I can't even believe that six months has come and gone... 864 or so cinnamon buns and countless dozens of cookies later, and it's nearly time to say goodbye.

I want to thank everyone. EVERYONE! You have all been so supportive of my shop and of me; I appreciate each and every one of you.

Tomorrow, September 28th will be my last day as a full-time vendor at Gasoline Alley Farmers' Market. I have reserved three dates to come back as a pop-up vendor, though. So mark your calendars and stay tuned for more goods and goodies to come.

I will be back on the following dates (all Saturdays):

October 25
November 22
December 13

My original vision remains unchanged: to honor my parents and continue the traditions: make it, bake it, sew it, plant it, build it.

It's Friday again, already, and that means sourdough day!

And not only that, but I have prepared some fine dry bread crumbs from sourdough bread, too.

What kinds of things do YOU use your bread crumbs for? Here's my list:

* the breading for schnitzel
* as a tasty addition to meatloaf (along with egg and onion)
* used with finely-minced mushrooms, celery, onions, and butter as a lovely stuffing
* mixed with grated cheese as a casserole or homemade mac 'n cheese topping (broiled for a minute or two.

I'm sure there are more ways I have used bread crumbs. I do find them very convenient to have on hand!

Hello friends 👋
I have some news to share with you. For personal reasons, I will be going forward as a part-time, pop-up vendor at Gasoline Alley Farmers' Market .

I'm still working through the details of when I'll be coming in, so stay tuned if you still want to get your hands on some bread, cinnamon buns, and date squares, etc.

Thank you to all who have supported me in my endeavour so far. It's not over! It will just look a little different from here on out.

And just for fun, I'll leave you with a little chuckle from my favourite cartoonist. Everything in moderation! (Or not 😁)

Along with my popular oatmeal raisin cookies, I will have some classic chocolate chip cookies this week, as my trial run received very favorable feedback.

Also this Friday: White sourdough sandwich loaves; cinnamon buns (with and without raisins); date squares; and possibly some focaccia, if time permits.

We're gearing up for market tomorrow! I hope you're all having a great week so far.

You'll have to stop by our booth to check out some new additions to our collection of handcrafted wood goods: Spurtles! And honey dippers.

What is a spurtle, you ask?

Spurtles originated in Scotland to stir porridge while it's cooking, to prevent lumps and ensure it turned out creamy and delicious.

Now, spurtles come in all sizes and shapes, and can be used to stir many different things such as, well, porridge of course 😁, but also soup, stew, batter, sourdough starter, and also... we have made cute little coffee spurtles!

Stop by and find one that suits you. No two are alike!

A great big thank you to all my customers, both new and my regulars - I SOLD OUT of ALL my baked goods today!! 😍😳🙏

I appreciate everyone for your support of my shop, and for all the wonderful feedback! You are awesome!!

Right now I'm making focaccia, as well as pastry for butter tarts before I head to bed for a few hours' sleep. 1:30 a.m. comes early!
