Every wheel of Sylvan Star Cheese carries a story that started generations ago - long before it ever reached Alberta.

The roots of Sylvan Star Cheese go back six generations of Dutch cheesemakers, where traditional recipes and techniques were passed down through the family.

By 1999, Sylvan Star Cheese was officially born, combining old-world craftsmanship with Alberta’s local milk to produce authentic Gouda and other cheeses.

From there, the business grew into a well-known, family-run operation—still rooted in the same values today:
