Organic produce may contain residues from pesticides, waxes, dirt, bugs, etc.

One simple way to reduce what’s sitting on the surface is to make a DIY fruit and vegetable wash.

Try combining:

• 1 part white vinegar
• 1 part baking soda
• 3 parts water

Soak produce for about 10–15 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with fresh water.

For firmer produce, you can also gently scrub the surface before rinsing.

Research consistently shows that organic produce can significantly reduce exposure to many commonly used agricultural pesticides, herbicides & fungicides.

That doesn’t mean you have to buy everything organic.

Sometimes it’s about prioritizing the foods you eat most often and making small improvements over time.
