Labour Day Long Weekend! We’re at the Saanich Fair and at our usual Market - Don’t miss out on some incredible corn for this last big weekend of the summer!

Variety update: Usual amazing Peaches & Cream and Yellow Supersweets. We will start picking some White and King Crunchie very soon, be on the lookout for these again!

Maze update: Finishing touches are underway, and we’re pleased to say it will be opening next weekend! Watch out for the official announcement post next!

Fall Harvest: We have a substantial amount of: Pumpkins of all colors and sizes, Squash, Gourds, and beautiful ornamental corn - all starting to be harvested now that is September!

🌽 Corn Update Aug 28! We’re only -half- way through Corn Season! We have over 20 plantings, and every one is staggered to be picked at maximum quality and freshness! This one, we’re moving to for the final 2 big weekends of the Summer!

Varieties: Excellent quality Peaches & Cream and Yellow, in full stock every day! White Corn is in between plantings - but it is not done for the year, It’ll be back for most of September! For those asking about King Crunchie, there is 1 planting of it, estimated 2 weeks~ from now!

Corn Maze: We’re getting asked a lot and people are trying to enter! Yes we know it’s 15ft tall and looks ready! We are in our final stages of preparing it and will be the announcing opening date in the very near future!

100 year celebrations continue! We are on Day 52 out of 100 of giving corn free to 1 lucky customer! We have some events and larger donations planned for the rest of the season! Stay tuned!

Today we post about Farmers working together on the Peninsula! The past few years we have been rotating crop land with our friends at fieldfivefarm This is beneficial for both crops and keeps our local farm land healthy and thriving. Supporting our local breweries supports this Grain farm, and supporting our Market keeps us all going strong together!

Watching Golden Grains grow beside Golden Corn, is a beautiful sight to see in the fields! We wanted to share a few photos of it!

Keep up the good work Saanichton! Corn Season is far from over, we are picking amazing fresh corn in thousands every morning!

We’re gearing up for busy weekend! Flavour Trails is celebrating their 20th year and promoting a tour of local farms and businesses! We are proud to be the Trail Hub - which means we are the starting point of of the trail, and have special activities like their famous Zucchini Racing! We also have some live music on Sunday! Animals to visit, popping our own Popcorn, amazing produce to buy, and take a sneak peak at our Corn Maze growing!

As for the Corn! 🌽 We’re picking tens of thousands of cobs of all varieties. And yes, the new White Corn that is getting some serious rave reviews, is fully in stock!

🌽 Corn Update Aug 7! White Corn is in and Bakers Dozens are happening! Peaches & Cream and Yellow too of course! These 3 varieties are unmatched .. and we don’t say that lightly!

We’re on Day 30 of Corn Season! And also on Day 30 out of 100, of giving 1 lucky customer their corn free for the day! This is part of celebrating 100 years of Silver Rill Farming in the community! The staff are picking 1 random person each day, for another 70 days!

That’s also a reminder that we are far from done Corn Season! We have over 20 plantings, all staggered to have great corn daily for the months to come!

🌽 Corn Update July 24! We’re picking very high volumes of Super-sweet Yellow and Peaches and Cream! This is just one of many loads coming out of the field this weekend! Don’t miss out on these amazing varieties!

Always the freshest and most variety choices at our Market at 7117 Central Saanich Rd. However, we’re spreading the corn love all across the CRD too…. You’ll find it at other locations and some farmers markets! Be sure to always check the labels and question where the corn is coming from that your buying! You’ll also find us doing some giveaways at Centennial Park Saturday, for the Central Saanich Birthday party!

🌽 Corn Update July 18! We have switched gears into the Early SuperSweets! Yellow and Peaches and Cream!

There is no limit on amount to purchase now (within reason!). For those that have been asking about Bakers Dozens: We aren’t doing them yet, but we will be! Every year we start that after we are a few weeks into the season!

Also a reminder about our ongoing Corn giveaways to celebrate 100 years of Silver Rill farming on the Peninsula! We’re selecting 1 random person each day, to receive their corn free! We’re on Day 10 out of 100 now - and there has been some happy winners so far!

We are also getting asked about the Corn Maze. Yes there is a Maze growing and it’s our biggest and best one yet! It opens Mid September and is 100 year themed.

🌽 Corn Update July 13! That was a wild start and weekend! We picked over 3 acres and hope everyone enjoyed their first taste!

First up this week is another couple acres of our Early Tender Sweet Peaches and Cream! Supply is looking good and plentiful for this week!

We’ll be starting the first Early Supersweets later this week - Peaches and Cream first, and Yellow is around a week away!
