May 22 Corn Update! 🌽 Over 2ft tall and Tassels are poking out! All of our early Corn is looking Great - and we’re expecting a big harvest starting early July! Start counting those days! Look forward to some special announcements for this special anniversary season!

If you didn’t know our Market is fully open now! Shelves are full of our own Produce - featuring Carrots, Beets, and Strawberries!

Our Market is officially open 7 days a week 9am-530pm! We’re picking some amazing Produce to start off! Plentiful Supersweet Carrots! We’re also picking Beets and Strawberries daily but these will be subject to sell out for the next week or so! Multiple other products and our freshest harvest of Popcorn! Stay tuned for more Produce and Corn updates!

🥕Carrot Season has begun! The Market is Open and operating and we’re picking these fresh Supersweet Carrots every morning now!

Carrots, Chard, Rhubarb to start! Strawberries, Beets, and Kale -soon- as they are very close!

We’ll be in and out of the Market over the first week while we fully setup! There is e-transfer and honor box system in place if no one is around when you come! We’re excited to be picking again and looking forward to a great and early season for all our Produce! Stay tuned for more updates!

What’s this…?! We’re finding Carrots almost ready, and Strawberries turning Red … and it’s still April! I guess we’ll be opening the Market a bit sooner than anticipated with our earliest start ever!

April 20th Corn Update! 🌽 All the early plantings are looking great and starting 4 leaf stage! They have survived their most vulnerable time and well on their way to growing tall with this recent warmer weather!

Stay tuned for our Market opening date in early May! Early Carrots, Beets, and Strawberries are also looking great!

Best sidekick you could have helping today! The morning egg hunt was important, but it had to get wrapped up quickly to go “help dad plant more corn”!

First Corn of 2026 is Planted! 🌽 Our family is excited to get started on this special year of celebrating 100 years of Silver Rill! We’re ready to plant more Produce than ever and have some big surprises planned for this year! Stay tuned as we go through the Spring, up until we open in early May with Carrots and Strawberries, and of course the Corn harvest starting in early Summer.

We’ve been busy over the beautiful weekend we just had! 2nd planting of Carrots + Rainbow Carrots, Red Beets, Golden Beets, and Peas, all planted!

We know it’s still Winter for another 3 weeks, but with the right techniques and varieties - they will turn out great!

Starting 2026 off Strong and Early! Our first planting of Carrots is in! New techniques and varieties are allowing us to plant earlier than ever! Also requires a bit of luck from Mother Nature - No risk no reward!

We are officially fully closed for the year! It was an amazing season and a huge success to extend our season into November and December! We’ll be back next year bigger and better than ever before!

Next year is the 100 year anniversary of Silver Rill. In 1926 Sidney Fox started the legacy in Saanichton that carries on today, through multiple different farms and Fox families. We have some big things planned for this special year of 2026!
