Hey everyone, this is a post that you normally wouldn't see from me. I'm asking you to support another canner if you see her at a market.
As some of you know the boys were in an accident earlier today heading to an out of town market. The truck was hit from another vehicle and is not in market shape. We were lucky, my boys walked away, they're stiff and sore, the the truck needs repairs, and no product was lost. To be honest had the truck not been loaded, the hit would have either put the truck in a spin or rolled them into the ditch. The weight the canning saved them, and made the truck a tank. Prayers of protection were answered.
Another local canner from Edmonton, was not so lucky. She was also on her way out of town to a show and the trailer carrying her inventory for the weekend was clipped while she was driving and flipped on her.
I don't know this lady personally, nor do I know how much product she lost. What I do know, is how much work goes into canning, especially when it's your livelihood. I know how much every market and event matters, especially the big ones. I know the frustration of not being able to make to a show due to circumstances beyond your control.
If you're at a market and cross paths Mama G's Jam's, please consider supporting her as her weekend has not gone according to plan.
💚
