Well, the snow may not have melted here until May 9 due to a late April snow storm, but at least we got to enjoy a sunny +27C Wednesday. I can’t wait to see you out for my seedling sale tomorrow. (Not a joke, it’s really happening.) bring your own seedling tray… and winter boots.

Hello Spring! We’ll forgive you for taking your sweet time, because you arrived just in time for the FIRST Prairie Flower Market of the 2026 season!

Join us May 10 from 1-4 PM for our market opener. We’re showing up with a special collection of every seedling/tuber/seed/corm you could possible want for your garden, as well as the most special 100% locally made or created gifts and accoutrement.

While all our markets are incredible, you will not find another market like this across Canada, the US, or Europe. Trust me... I’ve tried. Shop plants, seeds, and everything between from local flower farmers and growers that have selected varieties, and planted
with perfect timing, all the best for our growing zone and conditions. Not only that, you get to meet and get advice from your local experts: the flower farmers themselves that know how to grow in our zone so well we make a living at it.

We have vegetable seedlings and seeds as well. Don’t forget decorative and hard-to-find pumpkin and squash seeds (grow your own pink pumpkin... we’ve already done the hard work for you.

The perfect Mother’s Day all under one roof. Come celebrate mom, auntie, you, that weird art teacher that was always so motherly... in blunt “I’m not sure if that was a complement” kind of way. Our vendors are from all walks of life, celebrating our children,
our mother’s who have joined the stars, the babies we hope to have, and all the special women in our lives. Because just PFM’s motto for the vendors is “the rising tide lifts all boats,” that extends to you as well. Whether this Mother’s Day is a celebration,
or a little bit tricky, being around good people who have made something good, will be good for you too.

We can’t wait to see you all. We’ve missed your faces we have come to know over a season of markets.

You like flowers? You make cute things? You support local? Yeah… this is your vibe

We’ve got the friendliest vendor lineup around with the most loyal market customers who love to celebrate and support all things local! The Prairie Flower Market is now accepting vendor applications for our 2026 market.

Over the past year, we’ve grown a special market with an unbeatable atmosphere: think good people, zero ego, hype-each-other-up energy, and a whole lot of locally grown flowers and locally made/baked goods!

We’re looking for:
* Flower farmers (locally grown blooms ONLY. No imports)
* Plant growers & specialty seedlings
* Locally grown veggies
* Artists and artisan makers
* Local businesses that align with our local-focused + be-a-decent-human policy
* Food and beverage vendors

Spots are limited because we’re keeping this curated and intentional (and we’re not a huge event space) so don’t wait!

SECOND PRAIRIE FLOWER MARKET DATE OF 2026 IS Announced!
Weeeeeeeell, peony… you’re not vain, this market IS about you! Peonies stole the show last June, so much that we sold out in just over an hour and had to shut the market down early!!
NOT IN 2026!
Did you know your local flower farmer grows the most premium peonies for the largest, juiciest blooms, we also know the PERFECT stage to harvest each variety (yep, some peonies want to be harvested at a stale marshmallow stage, some at a firm marshmallow stage, some at a soft marshmallow stage… IYKYK)

We’re already scheduling weddings and events around the market to be able to bring you the ultimate peony experience! With any luck, we’ll also have an abundance of ranunculus and anemones for you too! (2025 was a rough year for these, but 2026 already looks a bit different!)
