One of our favourite parts of Wednesday afternoons is hearing live music drifting through the market while everyone shops.

Every week, local musicians and buskers bring something different to the Sherwood Park Farmers’ Market. You might discover an incredible new local performer, stop for one song and stay for four, or find yourself shopping for vegetables with a surprisingly good soundtrack.

We love being able to give local talent a place to perform while creating an atmosphere that makes the market feel like somewhere you can actually spend the afternoon — not just somewhere you stop to grab groceries.

Something is brewing at the Sherwood Park Farmers’ Market.

Meet Borealis Chaga. Borealis Chaga

Borealis brings a little bit of the boreal forest to the market with chaga and other functional mushroom products, including teas, powders, chunks and tinctures.

Chaga has been used traditionally for generations and is now being studied for its naturally occurring compounds, including antioxidants and beta-glucans.

Curious about chaga but have absolutely no idea where to start? Stop by the Borealis booth and chat with Marlene. She can walk you through the different products, how they’re prepared and help you learn a little more about the world of functional mushrooms.

A fresh look for the Sherwood Park Farmers' Market!

We've got a brand-new hat, and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out. The forest green cap paired with the laser-engraved leather patch feels like the perfect fit for our market.
