We are here to help bring people together, to celebrate community, and to lift up all Local "Makers, Bakers and Magic Creators"! The Market Opens on THURSDAY, JUNE 6 at 5:30pm and we will be there every Thursday until September 5th! Find us on the iconic Beacon Avenue in beautiful Sidney by the Sea.

🐾 Special guest alert at the Sidney Street Market!

Penny the cat came down to Beacon Avenue with her owner Kelsey, who lives right here in Sidney, to take in all the market magic.

The jury is still out on whether Penny actually approves of all these Sidney market shenanigans… but we are choosing to believe she was simply supervising. Very seriously. Very professionally. Extremely cat-like.

Tonight we had students from Parkland Secondary School, who hail from Italy and Germany, join the wonderful Stephanie Greaves at the Sidney Street Market.

Stephanie gave them the stage, and they entertained us with a song right here on Beacon Avenue. ✨

Proof that Sidney really is a destination for locals, visitors, students, travellers, and anyone who knows that Thursday nights are better at the market.

The world is your oyster… and tonight, it led all the way to Beacon Avenue. 💜

Second Street and Beacon Avenue are lit up tonight with the incomparable Luke Lampard. 🎶💜 He’s here until 8:15pm!

The crowd is out, the music is flowing, and everyone is walking down the boulevard of Beacon Avenue enjoying opening night.

Don’t stop believing in the magic of market nights, because the fun here just goes on and on and on.

🎶 Have you caught Stephanie Greaves yet? 🎶

The fantastic, stupendous, wonderful Stephanie Greaves is entertaining market-goers until 8:15 PM tonight at the corner of Beacon Avenue and Fourth Street, just outside Starbucks. 💜

Stephanie is joy personified and an absolute crowd pleaser. Whether she’s singing, dancing, or getting the audience involved, she has a way of bringing smiles to everyone around her.

Right now she’s filling Beacon Avenue with the sounds of “Bye Bye Love,” and the crowd is loving every minute of it.

One of the things we take great pride in at the Sidney Street Market is highlighting, featuring, promoting, and supporting local musicians. Our performers help create the vibrant, welcoming atmosphere that makes Thursday nights on Beacon so special.

Come on down for opening night, enjoy a song, a dance, some great food, and support local talent while you’re here.

Councillor Terri O’Keeffe, on behalf of Mayor and Council, welcomed visitors and vendors to the opening of the 2026 Sidney Street Market and spoke about the important role the market plays in our community. 💜

She highlighted the many ways the market supports local entrepreneurs, small businesses, makers, growers, and artists while creating opportunities for emerging musicians and performers to showcase their talents.

Councillor O’Keeffe also recognized the positive economic impact the market brings to Sidney, drawing thousands of visitors who support local businesses throughout the town each week.

Most importantly, she spoke about community. The Sidney Street Market is more than a market. It is a gathering place where neighbours connect, friendships are built, local businesses thrive, and people come together to celebrate everything that makes Sidney such a special place to live, work, and visit.

As part of our opening ceremonies, August Thomas and First Nations dancers opened the 2026 Sidney Street Market with a beautiful land acknowledgement and ceremony.

We are grateful to gather on the traditional lands where our vendors, visitors, performers, and community come together to thrive, connect, and celebrate.

What a meaningful way to begin another season on Beacon Avenue. 💜

The 2026 Sidney Street Market is officially open! 💜

What an incredible way to begin the season.

The Royal Canadian Legion Colour Party, led by Kenny Podmore, is opening this year’s market, with the sound of bagpipes filling Beacon Avenue.

It is a beautiful, proud, and unforgettable moment for our community.

The vendors are ready, the street is alive, and market season is officially back.

Welcome back to Beacon. ✨
