Four days. 20,000–25,000 steps a day. Two days at Canada's Wonderland. Countless rides. Plenty of laughs. More than a few sore legs. Maybe some minor heart attacks on those rides! (The Aspen Fury, JEEZ)

One thing we were glad we packed? Jerky!

When you're spending all day at Canada's Wonderland and Splash Works, you're surrounded by quick food options that leave you hungry an hour later. Having clean, high-protein snacks on hand meant we could keep going from opening to closing without the constant energy crashes.

It's amazing how much better you feel when you fuel your body properly, especially when you're putting in the equivalent of a half marathon every day.

We're heading home with a camera roll full of memories, tired feet, and a whole lot of gratitude.

Thanks for an incredible trip, Southern Ontario. We'll be back.

We've been grinding for four years. Grinding to build this business. Grinding to expand production, expand retail presence, just GRINDING! Non stop.

And we've done what we can as a family in that time. Mostly camping, day trips, staying on the prairies.

But it's time to take our two big kids on a trip of their own.

So we're in Toronto Thursday till next Tuesday.

Hitting Canada's Wonderland, Downtown, Splash Works, Medieval Times, etc.

Emails will be checked, that's about it.

The after-school/after nap snack attack is real 😅

When the kids come in starving, we need something fast
 but not a pile of ultra-processed junk that leaves them hungry again 20 minutes later.

Our go-to? Simple stuff that actually fuels them. Fruit, cheese, and protein that sticks with them. đŸ’Ș

If you don’t love it, you won’t stick with it.

Calving season is the perfect example of that.
You’re tired, you’re out there no matter what
 but you still show up.

And the ones who last?
They’re the ones who actually love it.

Calving in full swing out here.

No barns, no shortcuts — just grass, fresh air, and cows doing what they’ve done forever.

This is how it’s supposed to be.
Out on the land, with nature, the same way the Bison did it for thousands of years.

We just step in when we’re needed (rarely)
 otherwise we let them do their thing.

We thought we had our new packaging locked in for the long haul this time last year
 then CFIA gave the industry a January 2026 deadline.

New CFIA front-of-pack rules meant changes were coming either way. At the same time, we finally got the greenlight to label our jerky for what it is, Grass-Fed & FINISHED Canadian Beef. Right before we kicked off updates, we noticed a major competitor had basically mirrored our design.

That was the moment we stopped tweaking
 and started over. The REBRAND began!

We went all in. Dialed in who we are, what we stand for, and built a look that actually matches the brand you see at shows. Bold, clean, neon, unmistakably Carzan. New jerky bags. New bar packaging. New retail display boxes. New tradeshow setup. AND NEW PRODUCTS!

You’re not going to miss us on the shelf anymore. And you sure as hell aren't gonna miss us at the shows this fall!

Happy Mother’s Day to Carmen and both our Mom's.

 and somehow still the calm in the middle of all the chaos.

There’s a lot that doesn’t get seen, but we feel it every day.

Calving time is one of the best times to have the kids out here.

New life showing up every day.
Cows doing their thing.
The land starting to wake up again.

They get to see where food actually comes from, not just hear about it.
They learn how everything connects. The animals, the grass, the work behind it all.

Yeah, there’s the odd tough moment too
 but that’s part of it. You don’t skip those lessons, you just don’t make them the whole story.

Mostly, it’s about being out here together, learning it all as it comes.

This is the kind of stuff that sticks.
