Hysnia Rama grew up in Kosovo and has been cooking traditional Balkan food for family, friends and large groups for over 25 years. After fleeing Kosovo during the Kosovar war and then spending about ten years in refugee camps in Bosnia, she arrived to Canada in 2008 as a Government Assisted Refugee. John's with her husband and 7 of her 8 children ever since. Hysnia will share her delicious traditi

onal foods at the Farmer's Market this summer (2015). Food options will include: pita (a hand-rolled savoury pastry with shredded potato); homemade Balkan-style bread; and petule, a Balkan take on the traditional Newfoundland touton. More options may be added to the menu throughout the summer. All food is fresh and individually packaged. Drop by the Farmer's Market to taste samples and make purchases.
