He’s been twisting his red braids, sipping Raspberry Cordials, and staring dramatically out at this pouring rain this morning. 😭☔️

But Farmer Matt is here with some VERY important news:

🌽 Compton’s Farm Market is OPEN today! 🌽

And we still have LOTS of SAAAAAAAAAAAWEET CORN! 💛

We need your help! It’s time to send some BIG messages to Mother Nature and Mr. Golden Sun! ☀️🌱

We need them BOTH to work their magic and finish growing our field of cucumbers! 🥒💚

Right now, we are officially “PICKED” out of eligible-sized cucs! 😱 The rest of our little cukes need some warm sunshine and a little more time to GROWWWWWW! 🌞🥒

On the days Compton’s Farm Market is closed, our corn is not considered “self-serve.” Please don’t take corn and leave money behind. We know folks on our Island are honest and well-intentioned, but unfortunately, it’s just not ideal for us.

We truly appreciate how much you all love our corn! 💛 But please wait until we’re OPEN to pick up your Farmer Matt Dozen. 🌽

🌽🎒 Farmer Matt was SO EXCITED to go back to school today with his friends Rutabaga and Potato!!! 🥔📚 He had his back pack filled with "fresh corn treats" for his friends...

Sadly… he’ll have to wait until tomorrow to start his Math classes. 😉➕➖

🌾 Happy Labour Day from all of us at Compton’s Farm Market! 🌾

Just a reminder that, due to the amount of rain we’ve received, along with the current weather and field conditions, we will remain closed for the day today, Monday, September 7th.

🌧️ An Important Message from Farmer Katie! 🌧️

Due to the unrelenting weather we have been experiencing, we have had to make the difficult decision to CLOSE for tomorrow, Labour Day Monday, September 7th.

Farmer Matt and the Farm Crew simply cannot get onto our fields in these muddy conditions without potentially damaging our valuable crops. 🌱

Our store currently has minimal stock available, and unfortunately, we won’t have enough for you tomorrow as we are unable to harvest anything in these conditions.

We sincerely regret any inconvenience this may cause our customers. ❤️

Let’s hope for an end to this rain soon! 🌦️

We will keep you updated regarding our opening for Tuesday.
