We’ve teamed up with Etobicoke Moms to protest to protect wildlife and to say NO to Ford’s dangerous deregulation path!

Ford’s proposed “Special Economic Zones Act, 2025” would allow the government to exempt entire areas - and companies operating in them - from virtually any provincial laws based on, including environmental protections, health standards, and local planning rules.

This law is unprecedented. No other legislation in Ontario or Canada gives a minister such sweeping power to override all provincial laws within handpicked zones.

A SLNA-WRG Event (Wednesday/Thursday @ 125 The Esplanade)
What is REmarket?
REmarket is a WRG-led pop-up community service to collect unwanted goods and prevent them from being sent to landfills.
We "REmarket" usable post-consumer goods that can be REused, REpaired, REpurposed, and REcycled to REthink our purchasing decisions by taking REsponsible actions in our consumption of material goods.
To this end, REmarket includes the following elements:
● A donation centre
● A free market (called FreeMarket)
● A repair cafe
● Free bike repairs
● A recycling zone for difficult-to-recycle items
● An information table
● Information tables hosted by select partners and collaborators

When is the event?

Sundays: 12pm - 5pm

Providing refills on your dish soap, laundry soda or detergent, toothpaste, moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, color protective shampoo and conditioner, multi surface cleaner, toilet bowl cleaner, hand/body wash. Lots of fragrance free options!

HOW IT WORKS
1. Bring your empty container(s).
2. Weight your empty container(a) at the register.
3. Refill as much as needed
4. Pay by weight at checkout.

We all use these household products. When you start running low or empty on these household products, simply wash out the container and then bring it to a refillery station to refill! Once you get the hang of it, you will likely sync up your items to refill once a month altogether. But fret now, having a local refillery in your neighborhood means you can just go to your local refillery station quickly when you need!
