Our last market is just one week away! For our last big hurrah, we'll have a variety of activities including our Open Mic, a free all-ages karate class, and a performance put on by the Morris Dancers! This market will be jam packed and not one that you want to miss.

Lee McLeod, T’ai Chi instructor at Oaklands CA, will demonstrate and offer a free introductory class at the Oaklands Market on Wednesday, Aug. 26. Lee will demonstrate the Cheng Man-ch’ing Short Yang form of T’ai Chi several times between 4 and 6, at which time anyone interested is welcome to join him in the Community Centre to learn and practice the opening moves of the form. Lee will teach T’ai Chi at Oaklands this fall on Thursday evenings.

With only three markets left, our Hoyne Brewing Company Beer Garden is still up and running! Hoyne has been a long-time sponsor of the Oaklands Sunset Market and helps us stock up on multiple drinks for the summer season!

We recently restocked our Beer Garden! Our current drink list is Hoyne Pilsner, Helios, Among Giants,, Lonetree Cider selection, and the always popular Por Favour. Come on by next week to catch our Awareness Through Movement© demonstration and enjoy a cold drink in the Beer Garden!

On August 19th Awareness Through Movement© will be joining us for a demonstration for how you can use mindfulness in your everyday movements to benefit your mental and physical health! The demo will take place at 7:30 and will close out our market for the day.
