Flower planting time!!!! Who's excited?

Worked out well we got some rain after planting most of our zucchini, mashed potato squash, buttercup squash, spaghetti squash and pumpkins. These jugs act as mini greenhouses for the squash plants to they can grow quicker and be protected from the elements

All of our plants were so excited to come to The Market at Red Deer this Saturday, but we have made the tough decision to wait until next week. With how cold the weather is supposed to be ( feeling like -1) our plants wouldn't be able to even come out of the trailer. We will take good care of them for you in the meantime. We will be bringing tomatoes ( beefsteak, red cherry, yellow cherry, tumbling tom red, principe borghese) peppers ( California wonder, mixed sweet, jalapeño, habanero) basil ( genovese, purple) catnip, black watchman hollyhocks, marigolds, petunias, celery, and probably more that we forgot.

A few days late but yes we got lots planted on Friday. Now all we need is some rain!!

So the sunroom is now jam packed with peppers and tomatoes. We had to add taller stakes to the tomatoes since they're growing so fast. We think its because of the seed starting soil mix we tried this year. Next year we will be starting peppers and tomatoes a few weeks later than this year.
