What a weekend! ❄️🌬️☃️
Cold, windy, snowy… but absolutely AMAZING.
A huge THANK YOU to all of our incredible vendors who braved the weather and helped make the Indigenous Market Weekend at the Winnipeg Beach Farmers Market such a success. ❤️
You all showed up with smiles, community spirit, and determination, and truly made the weekend so much fun despite Mother Nature trying her best to test us!
And to our amazing community thank you for coming out, supporting local, and showing so much love to our vendors and special guests. We know it was definitely a chilly one, but your support meant the world to everyone there. 💛
Special thank you to our wonderful guests:
🎶 Lisa Bennett from the Gimli Red River Métis Federation for opening and closing our market on Saturday.
🎸 Eddie Fleury: The Métis Man In Black for keeping the music going all day Saturday and bringing such an incredible atmosphere to the market.
🔥 And of course, The Bannock Queen herself, Martine Sawanas (and her amazing assistants), for keeping the bannock hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious.
We are so thankful for everyone who helped make this weekend special and successful, vendors, performers, guests, and customers alike.
Even with the wild Manitoba May Long weather… this community showed up. ❤️
Thank you all so much.
