Alberta Unboxed 🌾

Long before Nordegg became a quiet mountain escape, it was a booming coal mining town tucked deep in the Rockies. In the early 1900s, families from all over the world came here to work the mines, building a resilient little community surrounded by some of Alberta’s wildest landscapes.

Today, you can still feel pieces of that history woven through the area, from the old mining sites to the North Saskatchewan River winding through the mountains nearby.

There’s something special about places like this. The kind of Alberta town that reminds you how much history, grit, and natural beauty exist just beyond the highway.
