The Living City Farm

The Living City Farm The Livin City Farm is a sustainable farming project to produce bio-dynamic organic food The Living City Farm is based in Woodbridge at the Kortright Center.

It is in association with the Toronto and Region Conservatory using sustainable farming methods to produce bio-dynamic organic foods for people in and around the city. The farming methods used at the Living City Farm are regulated and puts the soil to use in the best possible way. Although the technology has not been developed for use on large farms of 100 acres, it works perfectly for a farm of o

ur size. By extending the life of the soil we are allowing people to get more use and more produce out of the land. We are cleaning water and soils by farming without the use of chemicals and pesticides that make its way into and pollute our fresh water. It is becoming a viable business for individuals to get involved in and therefore will provide jobs for people in the community in the long-run. Urban farming is creating a whole new marketplace. By eating local organic food you are reducing your carbon footprint exponentially. Not going to be viable in the future to export foods internationally as we struggle with oil shortage and overpopulation. We need to find more efficient ways to produce the food we need locally.
