What a week! 🍓🚜❤️

It’s been an amazing week around the farm, and when we look back, it’s hard to believe how much has happened!

This week we:
🍓 Started picking strawberries for the farm store
🚚 Received lots of deliveries from local businesses — pizzas, meat pies, sourdough bread, fresh bread, ice cream, and frozen meals
🫛 Picked fresh peas
🥔 Dug new potatoes
👴 Took Grandpa on a farm tour with the granddaughters
👕 Restocked our strawberry and farm swag
🪧 Installed new graphics on our store sign
🥧 Brought in fresh pies
🥤 Made strawberry smoothies
🍔 Served up water buffalo burgers
🧄 Enjoyed garlic spread on freshly harvested barbecued asparagus
🍓🌱 Harvested rhubarb and strawberries
🌸 Sold lots of flowers (and we still have some left!)

Our family would like to say thank you to everyone who stopped by the farm store this week. We are here because of your continued support, and we truly appreciate every visit, purchase, share, and recommendation.

But the fun is just beginning…

🌱🥧 It’s Friday… Pie Day… and we like to eat farm-fresh produce!

The calendar may not officially say summer yet, but the flavours coming from the field sure do! ☀️🍓

Fresh from our farm:

Our U-Pick strawberries begin Monday morning! Until then, stop by the farm store and get your berry fix. Flats are available while supplies last.

🍓 Strawberries Are Here! The Wait Is Over! 🍓

Many of you spotted our stories yesterday or saw the signs along the road… and you wasted no time showing up! ❤️

We are now picking both our June-bearing field strawberries and our everbearing tunnel strawberries, which means we have LOTS of fresh strawberries available in our farm store and at the Petrolia Farmers’ Market this Saturday.

The warm weather is working its magic, and the berries are ripening fast! ☀️🍓

🚛🔧 Big Blue Goes to the Doctor 🔧🚛

After years of hauling pies, bread, milk, meat, cider, strawberries, lettuce and just about everything else we can cram into him, Big Blue has officially reached the age where parts start wearing out.

Apparently, trucks and farmers have something in common. 😆

Big Blue is taking a week off for a check-up, a few replacement parts, and possibly a lecture from his mechanic about “what it’s going to take to keep up the pace”

Don’t panic—we’re not stranded!

Little Tid Bit Blue has volunteered for duty. He’s younger, smaller, and may need a pep talk before every trip, but he’s ready to do his best. 💪

Meanwhile, the store is fully stocked:

🍞 Fresh breads, dill bread, cheese bread, hamburger buns, and hot dog buns

🥩 Buffalo burgers, sausages, ground beef, frozen pizzas, and meat pies

🧀 Fresh cheese curds today!
Plus milk and yogurt.
