We all get angry. But anger needs to be controlled. Uncontrolled anger and the desire for revenge destroy marriages.

The words we speak in anger have the power to tear down our spouses and our marriages. When you are angry or when you notice that your spouse is angry bite your lower lip, drink water or walk away.

Fight the urge to say things you will later regret. Words are like toothpaste; once you let them out you won’t be able to retract them. Regard - less of how hurt or disappointed you are "In your anger do not sin":

Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry; for anger gives a foothold to the devil.” Ephesians 4:26,27. If you have to speak remember “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.” Proverbs 15:1.
