Meet Samy.

He joined Al Contadino in October 2015, when he was just 19 years old.

He started washing dishes, spent time working in the kitchen, and over the years became one of the familiar faces of the restaurant. Today you’ll find him between the dining room and the bar, where he enjoys what he likes most: working with people.

If you’re looking for a wine recommendation, Samy is the person to ask. His knowledge and palate have made him the restaurant’s go-to sommelier, and one of the team members guests remember long after dinner is over.

Meet Frank.

He has been part of Al Contadino since 1992, and today he is still the first one to arrive in the morning.

Before the kitchen fills up and service begins, Frank prepares fresh pasta and bread in the quiet of the early hours. These days he prefers the calm rhythm of the morning, though he still makes some of the restaurant’s classics himself, including the lasagna.

At 65, he is the oldest member of the team, always smiling, always in the kitchen, and probably the person to ask if you want a good cooking tip.
