DRESDEN NOW 🥱 AND IN THE FUTURE 😍
We tend to post a lot about the beautiful new buildings in Dresden, Germany. Frauenkirche was rebuilt 2005 and many of the lost buildings around Neumarkt have been reconstructed the last 20 years. Other buildings have been constructed with inspiration from how Dresden looked like before 1945. Most of those are today found in Altstadt.

On the other side of the river Elbe is an historical area called Neustädter Markt. Almost nothing remains from before 1945, instead ugly Plattenbau boxes were mass produced in the area. People in Dresden have fought for reconstructions also here. The buildings below are approved, but it is not decided when the constructions will start. Below is how it looks like today and how it might look like in the future.
