Behind the label: every Salt'sUp jar has a number.

No. 8, No. 20, No. 27, No. 44...

Each number represents a unique salt we've sourced from a specific place in the world β€” from the volcanic lakes of Uganda to the coasts of Japan.

We started this collection years ago with a simple idea: salt is the most universal seasoning on earth, yet most people only know one kind.

There are now over 50 salts in our collection. Which number will you try first?

3 salts. 3 completely different jobs in your kitchen.

Here's a simple guide that'll change how you cook:

πŸ”Ή FINE SALT β€” for seasoning during cooking. It dissolves fast and distributes evenly. Use it in soups, sauces, and marinades.

πŸ”Ή FLAKY SALT β€” your finishing salt. Sprinkle it right before serving for texture and crunch. Perfect on salads, eggs, and chocolate.

πŸ”Ή COARSE SALT β€” for salt crusts, brines, and grinding. It dissolves slowly and adds big bursts of flavor.

Once you understand these three, you'll never over-salt or under-season again.

Save this for your next cooking session! πŸ“Œ

This salt is pink, but it's NOT Himalayan salt.

Meet Alaea β€” a traditional Hawaiian red salt mixed with volcanic clay called "alaea." It's been used in Hawaiian cooking and ceremonies for centuries.

The clay gives it an earthy, slightly nutty flavor that's completely different from any pink salt you've had. It's iron-rich, beautiful, and tastes like the volcanic islands it comes from.

Try it on:
β†’ Grilled pork or chicken
β†’ Roasted sweet potatoes
β†’ Poke bowls

The secret to restaurant-quality steak at home? It's all in the salt.

Here's what most people get wrong β€” they salt too early or use the wrong kind.

Our method:
1. Pat your steak completely dry
2. Let it reach room temperature (30 min)
3. Right before it hits the pan β€” press flaky sea salt into both sides
4. Sear on high heat, 3-4 min per side
5. Rest for 5 minutes, then finish with a pinch of smoked salt

The flaky salt creates that incredible crust. The smoked salt at the end? That's the chef's kiss.

What's your go-to steak seasoning? πŸ‘‡

Cup of tea?
You need 1-2 teaspoons dried Analiman pepper and 1-2 cups hot water. Place the crushed pepper in a teapot and pour hot water over it. Steep for about 5-7 minutes.
The tea will be bright, lemony and slightly numbing on the tongue. Add optional flavorings, like ginger, lemongrass or honey.

Why salt on watermelon?
The salty-sweet contrast is satisfying, much like in salted caramel. Salt also suppresses bitterness and brings out the natural sweetness of the fruit by creating a contrast on your taste buds.
So...just a pinch of flaky lemon salt on a cold slice of watermelon! Bon Appetit!

πŸ§‚ Dead Sea salt has been collected for over 2,000 years. Not some marketing line β€” actual fact.

The Romans? They built bathhouses along the shore and used this salt in medicine and trade. King Herod had a private retreat nearby, because if you were rich and powerful back then, you didn’t go to the Dead Sea for a swim β€” you went to soak, scrape, and treat your skin like stoneware.

Even Cleopatra got involved. She cut political deals just to keep control of the Dead Sea region. Not for show β€” she had the salt and mud sent back to Egypt regularly. This was her skincare, long before the French invented anything in a glass bottle.

The salt itself? It hasn’t changed. Still sun-dried. Still full of edge. Still crusting over rocks in the lowest, deadest place on the planet. Nothing grows there. No fish, no algae, no distractions. Just thick air, hot light, and salt. Lots of salt.

We collect it. We jar it. That’s it.
