🔥 Pinchos Morunos (Spanish Spiced Meat Skewers) Recipe

Ingredients:
500 g pork (or chicken/beef), cut into bite-sized cubes
2 tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp ground coriander
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp chili powder (optional, for heat)
Juice of 1 lemon
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Wooden or metal skewers
Instructions:
Marinate the Meat:
In a large bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, cumin, paprika, coriander, turmeric, chili powder, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Add the meat cubes and mix well until evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight for deeper flavor).
Prepare the Skewers:
Thread the marinated meat cubes onto skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
Grill or Pan-Fry:
Grill: Cook over medium heat for about 10–12 minutes, turning occasionally until golden brown and cooked through.
Pan-Fry: Heat a non-stick pan or grill pan, drizzle a bit of olive oil, and cook for 10–15 minutes, turning every few minutes.
Serve Hot:
Garnish with chopped parsley and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. Serve with crusty bread, salad, or Spanish-style rice.
Chef’s Tip:
For an authentic Spanish twist, use pork loin and smoked paprika (pimentón de la Vera) — it gives that signature smoky aroma!
