The story of Walter 🕊️ the lonely dove

Some months ago a lonely dove flew by at Finca Los 4 Vientos searching for companionship. Day by day he came closer until he was part of the family. Every morning when the parrots got fed he would wait for his share. During the day he would sit close to us at the table and greet our visitors & friends, fly some circles and at night sleeping just above the glass door close to the parrots.

On Sunday we woke 🆙 because of some gun shots, the hunting season 🐇 started and men were walking around in the campo. Walter did not return home 🏡 😥 that day, nor in the evening. This morning I looked again…and asked my “Vecino” (neighbor) if they also hunt “palomas” 🕊️ and he said yes 🥺

I love you Walter (this name was given by the kids of Ronald - Marieke and I hope you are off to another beautiful place 💋💋❤️ I kept one of your small feathers 🪶
