For four days, Brussels’ Grand-Place became a giant flower canvas.
The 2024 Brussels Flower Carpet covered the historic square with a 70 m × 24 m / 230 ft × 79 ft floral artwork made from dahlias, grass, bark, and other natural materials. Unlike the more traditional editions, this design — titled Rhizome — was created by Belgian street artist Océane Cornille, known as Whoups, and brought together street art, Art Nouveau, and the idea of interconnected roots.
An artwork this large, and this temporary, is part of what makes it unforgettable.
