Saagar Tandoori - Aberaeron Indian takeaway based in the seaside town Aberaeron. Local chef and business owner Shiraj Uddin is the proud owner. The Saagar team.

Established in 1996, Saagar Tandoori Takeaway was one of the first Indian takeaways in the seaside town Aberaeron. Shiraj, of Bangladeshi origin was brought up in Birmingham, England and later worked in London as a chef in an Indian takeaway. He was inspired to bring the taste of India to the other side of Britain to the small seaside town in Wales, which a decade ago was free from the tantalising

spices of South Asia. He opened up his takeaway on Regent Street, and named it Saagar Tandoori Balti Takeaway. Shiraj named it "Saagar", from the Hindi word meaning "sea". With over 20 years of experience in the South Asian cuisine, Shiraj continues to innovate and bring new flavours to Aberaeron. He is a dedicated chef and those close to him know him as a hard working and passionate man who has pushed boundaries in this small seaside town and brought to it some tantalising flavours. Be sure to visit Saagar Tandoori Balti takeaway next time you're in town - you won't be disappointed!
