VegBag Co-Operative
VegBag Co-operative provides students access to organic, cheap and mostly local fruit and vegetable. Most of our produce comes from Lembas, an organic food grower and distributor based near Stonehaven.
The VegBag scheme is run entirely by volunteers and it is based the Student Union Building at the Corner shop (Unit 5). You can order and/or collect your VegBag on every Tuesday between 12pm and 6pm. A large bag of vegetables costs £6 or £4 if you prefer a small one, and must be pre-ordered a week in advance* (both cash and card payments accepted).
You can also order your Vegbag online on the AUSA website (https://www.ausa.org.uk/getinvolved/abergreen/sustainablefood/vegbag/). It is also possible to order it to Hillhead, the collection time there is between 5pm and 7pm on a Tuesday evening.
If you cannot come and pick up your bag on Tuesday**, you must let us know in advance either here on by emailing us at [email protected] so that we can put your bag aside. All VegBags should be collected by the end of the day on Wednesday at the latest though.
