The Allotment Market Stall

The Allotment Market Stall Over the summer we run market stalls in Seaton Park and Victoria Park selling local fruit and veg. Our own growing plot is located at Grove Nursery, Hazlehead.

Our stalls run from July to October each year. Our aims are to promote the values of allotment gardening by selling excess produce and reducing waste.

🍎 Save Cloisterseat Community Orchard! 🍎

Please see the following message from our friends at Social Juice, who has asked us to share this call for action. Please comment, share, or message them if you can help in any way or if you know someone who might.

We’re heartbroken to share that the charity at Cloisterseat is in crisis, and the beautiful community orchard we created is being unexpectedly closed.

This means 200+ trees urgently need saving and we need your help 💚

🌱 How you can help:

1️⃣ Can you spare some time to help dig up the orchard?
The trees are around 4 years old and need volunteers to help carefully lift them before they’re lost.

2️⃣ Do you have land, a garden, or know a community that could rehome trees?
We’re looking for individuals, groups, schools, or communities willing to give these trees a new home.

🍏 Why this matters:
This orchard is a unique and nationally important collection of heritage apple varieties from Scotland and around the world, including dessert, cooking, and cider apples. These trees deserve to live on and continue serving communities.

🌱 Help Us Grow Together! 🌿 Join the TAMS Team

(Important message please share!)

Hey everyone! 👋

We’re looking for a few extra hands to join the TAMS committee 🌻

Whether you’re a social media person, love chatting to people, or you’ve got ideas for fundraising — there’s a place for you here. No expertise needed, just enthusiasm and a love for fresh local produce! 💚

What we’re looking for:
✨ Fundraiser – help spot grants & funding opportunities and build support to keep TAMS thriving.
✨ Communications & Social Media Volunteer – share our story, update our channels, and help us stay connected online.
✨ Relationship Developer – build and nurture connections with allotment sites and community growers.

More information: https://www.tamstheallotmentmarketstall.org.uk/committee-members

🗓 Our committee meets roughly once every six weeks in a relaxed, friendly setting — and you’re welcome to come along if you want to. There’s no pressure and no specialist skills required — just a willingness to help where you can. 🌼

Why join? Because TAMS is all about reducing food waste, and bringing fresh, seasonal food to our community — and we can’t do it without great people like you. 💪🍅
