Today we were delighted to welcome a wonderful group of young people from Farming Connect Junior Academy to Turnbull's Northumbrian Food.

Mark shared the story of Turnbull’s. From our 1880 roots through to the business we are today. Included were some of the challenges, opportunities and decisions that have shaped the business along the way.

It was a real pleasure to share our experiences with the next generation of young people coming into the farming and agricultural industry, and hopefully give them some ideas and inspiration as they think about how they might develop and evolve their own ideas in the future.

Thank you to the group for such an engaged and enthusiastic visit. It was lovely to have you with us, and we wish you all the very best for whatever comes next.

Alex has been getting creative again and these are his Maple Smoked Gammon Steaks, cut from our Horseshoe Gammons – and they’re absolutely delicious.

But the question is… how will you have yours?

Gammon, fried egg and proper homemade chips?

Maybe with buttery mash, peas and a little mustard?
