I had a great day at Herriard fete today!

Such a lovely village full of great people. 🙌🏼 The organisers are fantastic, handing out egg sandwiches and local apple juice. So thoughtful and kind 🥰.

Lots of cheese was chatted and consumed and I took home a particularly classy haul from the bottle tombola. 😂

Suns out! 🙌🏼🌞

Whether you are BBQing or picnicking this weekend I’ve got a counter full of summer favourites to accompany a fine spread as well as deli choices to elevate your bank holiday feasting.

Pyghtle, is a raw ewe’s milk cheese with a natural rind and a creamy fudgey texture that beautifully captures the essence of this time of year.

Mayfield and Smoked Westcombe are a great shout for burger toppings.

Yorkshire Pecorino Fresca is the perfect salad cheese or use layered over bbq’d veg.

Gracburn is a marinated soft cheese that comes in different flavours, great for adding to a maze spread, with some warm focacia. Grab a spoon and enjoy!

Making its debut in the counter this week.

Think deep savoury meaty flavours with a perfectly pitched salty hit and well balanced finish. It’s the kind of blue you just can’t help but go back for more 😋.

Made by the Clarke family in Market Bosworth, Leicestershire; using the same unpasteurised cows milk that makes Sparkenhoe Red Leicester.

Perfectly paired with a few crunchy walnuts and a drizzle of Maliks Honey .

Something is shifting at Cheese Louise …

After a lot of thought (and a fair bit of behind-the-scenes plotting), I’ll be closing temporarily for a refurbishment.

The high street is an ever-changing place, and if I want to keep doing what I love, I have to evolve with it. This next chapter is all about creating a better experience for you — more inviting, more engaging, and even more connected to the community.

Whether you’ve been with me from the beginning or have yet to step through the door, what’s coming is designed with you in mind.

I’m keeping the full story quietly under wraps for now… but trust me, there’s something exciting brewing at 15 High Street 👀
