Greenfields are looking for a carcass butcher to maintain our current level of output. The individual must be competent in breaking down pork, beef and lamb into primal and retail cuts. A reasonable percentage of our meat is prepared for sausage and burger production to a high spec, as well as pork middles for curing.

Sooo.... Last week on the record hottest day and at the hottest point of the day, the butchery/wholesale part of the business had its unannounced environmental health visit. We're pleased to report that we have maintained our 5* rating.

In other news, here's a small show of some our newest products available.

💦 CHORQ WATER - straight off the farm. We've learnt a lot about this product, so please do have a read, speak to us or check out their website. Perhaps we'll do a seperate post another time on this.

🍦 MICHELMARSH FARM ICE CREAM - some stunning flavours here. Truly delicious ice cream from their farm.

🍋 🌶️ 🌿 - MUTTON SNACKING SALAMI. We love a bit of Mutton here at Greenfields, so this new product is a perfect addition. A great accompaniment to a cold drink, whilst watching a bit of sport this summer perhaps?

A few new sausages to trial tomorrow (limited)....

🥄 GLUTEN FREE PORK - a more traditional pork sausage away from our usual lovely Sage and Onion flavour. Let's see if you can figure out the background herbs and spices I'm using here.

🍁🌶️ 🥓 VENISON with SMOKEY MAPLE, CHILLI & BACON - I like the sound of this.... smokey, sweet, spicy and salty - it's got it all going on.

🍋‍🟩 🌿 PORK, LIME & CORIANDER - technically not new, just back from the archives. Could this be the new summer favourite?

As I say, new ones to trial, see if we like them, more importantly see if you like them, adjust them, tweak them and see if they become a regular fixture.
