What an incredible 48 hours at Crail Fest with team Penman! ❤️

We were so proud to be the main sponsors for Crail Fest 2026 and to be part of such a fantastic community event!
We ate, we drank (some of us maybe a little too much 🤭🍻), we danced, we laughed, and we definitely caught a bit too much sun... but most importantly, we spent the weekend making memories with our amazing community🎉!

Chloe & Keith were up at 5:30am hiding the Golden Ticket Vouchers around the park! 🌅🎟️ Every single one was found... but now we need to know...

This Friday and Saturday is our long awaited 2026 Crail Fest which we are super excited about and proud to be the main sponsors of 💪🏼! Because of this, our Saturday hours have changed so we can all be at the park to celebrate the occasion and community!

Tomorrow (Friday) - Fest Evening

It’s been 100 years since J.B. Penman first opened its doors in the heart of Crail. What started as a small family butcher in 1926 has grown through four generations, thousands of loyal customers, and an incredible community that has supported us every step of the way💪🏼♥️!

We've celebrated birthdays, weddings, family dinners, BBQs, Christmases, and everything in between with you. Being part of your traditions is something we'll never take for granted😌!

To everyone who has walked through our doors (Crail and/or Anstruther), worked alongside us, or supported us over the last century... thank you. This milestone belongs to not just us, but all of you too.

Here's to celebrating 100 years of quality, tradition, and community - and to the next chapter.

Like Grandad, Like Grandson🩵

Here's a lovely one for you.

Many of you will remember Dave Wood, who worked at J.B. Penman's for many years. Dave was our mobile butcher driver & worked in the shop. He was a true local legend, and a valued member of the team. Sadly, he passed away a few years ago but we still remember him often, and speak to him sometimes in the shop🤭!

Fast forward to today, and we're delighted to have his grandson, Daylen, working with us throughout the summer, following in his grandad's footsteps!
Daylen has settled into the job brilliantly and has taken to it like a natural👏🏼 We're so pleased to have him as part of the team!

Well done, Daylen - your grandad would be incredibly proud. 💪🏼🩵

(& if that’s not all - Daylen’s older sister Alisha, works for us in the office!! We’re seriously considering changing our name to J.B PenWood at this point🤣🤣!!)
