A little bit about Nick:
The bronze medallist at the 2023 Concours Mondial du Meilleur Fromager, and the champion of the Cheesemonger Invitational in Summer 2015, Nick Bayne began working for The Fine Cheese Co. after moving to the United Kingdom in early 2018. Nickโs love of cheese began early in childhood, but the obsession that led to a career started with a slice of Morbier while employed as a clerk at A.G. Ferrari in San Francisco. His previous work has included positions in New York with Bedford Cheese Shop and Dean & Deluca, Head Cheesemonger and Cheese Buyer at Mekelburgโs, and Head Cheesemonger at Foster Sundry, and employment as the USA External Educator for Le Gruyรจre AOP which led to induction as a Compagnon in the Confrรฉrie du Gruyรจre. A member of the Guilde Internationale des Fromagers, he is also known for his cheese writing, which has appeared on Cheeserank, Taste of France, The Fine Cheese Co.โs website and brochure plus his own Instagram thecheesemason
