Our community is badenoch and strathspey, Yesterday I went to see Avril and Dmytro at the YM in Grantown on spey.
They are working hard on clearing the weeds at the YM garden. I was amazed at the plans they have for this space.
Planters differant heights so disabled can join in.
An area for seating for people to sit and enjoy.
Growing Vegetables for the food table.
The list goes on.
The YM are securing a grant to hire a skip, clear fencing, trees and debris.
Its going to be one to follow to see progress.
What they really need are volunteers, even if its just a couple of hours a week.
Do you have a spare few hours?
Do you live in a flat with no where to be green fingered or creative?
Would you like to mix with people?
Do you suffer with depression and need time out? Nothing like gardening, mixing and taking pleasure in the out doors.
Do you have kids who you would love to learn some gardening skills?
Avril is there on tuesday and wednesday 10 until 12. Go along and say hi if interested.
This is going to be so good for the community.
