Apologies for being a little quiet on here since Christmas… the main reason being that I (admin) (far left in the striped top) have flown the Ganesha nest after 14 fab years here! 💚
I started here when I was 18 fresh out of sixth form, taken on as a nervous, shy, quiet Christmas temp to help with bagging up for a couple of months with no guarantee of a permanent job.
14 years passed and I didn’t go anywhere, so I must have done a few things right at least! 😄
Ganesha has been the most wonderful place to work. It was my first “proper job” and what a fantastic choice of first job it’s been.
I’ve made lifelong friends in my colleagues (some past and all present), I’ve been on brand trips, I’ve run the social media, I’ve helped with shop moves/expansions, I’ve been in charge of supplements & toiletries/skincare, I’ve done many courses, I’ve laughed a LOT, I’ve cried a bit (or a lot depending on who you ask), I’ve fallen down/broken things more times than should be humanly possible, and I’ve loved every single minute of it.
I will miss being Izzy from Ganesha very much. Thank you to Fred, Penny, & Richard for taking a chance on that extremely shy, quiet 18 year old, who turned into a very noisy “Gosh, does she ever shut up” 33 year old.
Thank you to all my colleagues, past and present for being the best bunch of people to ever work with. Heartfelt specific thanks to Mikala (Micki) from our Axminster shop who established herself as my “second mum” all those years ago, and has held my hand through life ever since.
Thanks also to all our fab customers who I’ve got to know over the years, all the lovely reps from our brands we stock, all the delivery drivers/customer service agents… literally everyone I’ve ever spoken to in the last 14 years, you’ve all made this the best first job ever.
The socials will be left in the capable hands of my colleagues, but that’s it from me! 👋🏻
