As National Volunteers’ Week (1–7 June) comes to an end, we wanted to take a moment to say a huge THANK YOU to all of the incredible volunteers who help make Blooming Fruity possible. 💚

We have a fantastic group of volunteers that give up their time to serve customers in the shop, deliver fruit and veg boxes, collect stock, support our marketing and data management and help behind the scenes. Every contribution makes a difference.

An extra big thank you to our dedicated Management Team who give their time to guide and support the business on a daily basis.

Blooming Fruity is more than just a greengrocer. We’re a community enterprise, and that means we’re powered by people who generously give their time, skills and enthusiasm to help us thrive.

Whether you volunteer every week or help us occasionally when needed, please know that your support is valued and appreciated. We simply couldn’t do what we do without you.

🌟 WE’RE HIRING 🌟

After being a wonderful part of the Blooming Fruity team, our lovely Flo will soon be heading off on new adventures. While we’re sad to see her go, we’re excited to find someone new to join our community greengrocer!

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable person to work 6 hours every Saturday in our shop.

The role includes:
🍎 Serving customers
🥕 Restocking produce
🥚 Helping keep the shop looking its best
😊 Being part of our welcoming community atmosphere

🚐🥕 Community deliveries, powered by community spirit and electric vans 💚

Did you know that Blooming Fruity delivers much more than just fruit and vegetables? Our local delivery service can bring fresh fruit and veg, milk, eggs, flour and many other everyday essentials straight to your door.

What makes our deliveries extra special is the incredible team behind them. Our wonderful volunteers give their time to help keep the service running and usually use their own cars to make the deliveries. This week we’ve taken advantage of the trial addition of an electric van to the village’s Zimbl hourly hire fleet (found at the Village Hall). As our delivery business grows, a van would be increasingly useful - wouldn’t it be brilliant to have one in Haddenham on a permanent basis?!

Whether you’re unable to get to the shop, short on time, or simply prefer the convenience of home delivery, we’re here to help.

A huge thank you to our volunteer drivers and to everyone who supports this truly community-powered service. 💚

HASTA LA PASTA BABY 🍝 Not only do we now stock 3 types of delicious spelt pasta we have 5 (!) different flavours of .uk pasta sauce to go with it! We’re dreaming up a little herb garden outside Blooming Fruity… and we’d love your help to bring it to life 💚

Our plan? A community herb garden where customers can take a little snip as needed - reducing food waste, saving money, and sharing the joy of fresh, homegrown flavour.

But first, we need some herbs to get us started!

🌱 Do you have any spare herb plants?
🌱 Recently divided chives, rosemary, thyme or anything else?
🌱 A pot that’s outgrown its space at home?

If so, we’d love to give it a new home and help it thrive.
